A Wild Snow Slide!

One of our very favorite winter activities (besides skiing, of course) is tubing down the Fraser Tubing Hill.

The owners groom the slope, so that it is nice and smooth, and fast! The over-sized tubes they provide are specially made by the owners, with a slick rubber floor covering to bottom hole, side-grip handles, and a tow-rope with a handle. No need to walk up the hill either, your $15 rental fee covers the cost of a rope-tow ride up the side of the hill.

You can ride down the hill solo, or fly down as a group by holding onto each other’s tow-rope handles. It is fast and thrilling either way! I’m not sure who has more fun, the kids or the adults. This is a novel experience, unique to Fraser and in our humble opinion, an activity not to be missed.

Rental rates are for an hour, and the hours of operation vary depending on snow conditions, so call ahead. During the peak season, they are frequently open at night, so you can ski all day and tube after dinner!

The Fraser Tubing Hill is located across highway 41 from the Safeway, call 970-726-5954 for operating hours and pricing.

Enjoy!
